CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

The club championship is a series of races starting with the George Cummings relay in September and finishing with a club 2 mile time trial and trophy presentation in April of the following year. The mens championship has been running since 1917 and the womens since 2009. This year there are 20 races in total, they cover road running and cross country with distances up to half marathon. The winner is the runner who has amassed the most amount of points from the published list of club championship races. Maximum points for each race are gained by being the fastest Bellahouston Harriers club runner on the day, but it's also about having the staying power to do as many of the races as possible. Whatever your level of fitness it's worth giving it a go. I have attached a race list with an explanation of the scoring system and have also attached a spreadsheet with the current points totals.
